Mahlkönig’s new product of pride

For decades, Hemro Group has developed innovative coffee grinders with its brands Mahlkönig, Ditting, Anfim and HeyCafé. The variety is vast, and there’s something for every need, taste and wallet. The Mahlkönig X54 coffee grinder is something special: It’s an allrounder, able to grind both coffee as well as espresso beans. With its broad range of 35 grinding levels that deliver a homogeneous ground material as promised, it is an ideal companion for every lover of the Chemex, of French- and Aero Press and any other preparation method for both filter coffee and espresso. Everybody is their own barista. Such a machine must be huge? Not all. The Mahlkönig X54 with its measurements of 19 x 42.5 x 28 cm even fits into your hand luggage.

Quieter than silence

Many coffee grinders are war machines with which to wake up the whole neighbourhood. The Mahlkönig X54 is different: It is so quiet, you can barely hear it in the adjoining room. The frequency lies between 50 and 60 Hz, a spectrum in which tones are perceived as low. With a volume of less than 70 decibels, the piercing siren sounds, for which coffee grinders have become infamous, are notable for their absence here.

Thanks to the multifunctional LED display, you can save several recipes which means you won’t have to remember individual grinding settings. Four recipes are already stored when the machine is delivered (6 seconds for 12 g filter coffee; 30 seconds for 1 l filter coffee; 20 seconds for a double shot espresso; 10 seconds for a single shot espresso).

Robust and quick

The manufacturing quality is as high as expected from Mahlkönig and Hemro Group. The motor promises a lifetime of more than 2,500 shots. The bean hopper, which can contain up to 500 g of beans, is robust and can be closed quickly thanks to its integrated slide. The drip tray contains magnets which means it fits perfectly in its position. As a result, no grounds will spoil your kitchen counter or the floor.

The two fronts are easily swappable. Included in the order is a portafilter support and an elegant cup made of stainless steel. And if you are in a hurry because otherwise you will miss your train? With a grinding speed of 1 – 2.8 g per second, the Mahlkönig X54 will never betray your trust.

Schöne Mühle. Kleiner Luxus zu Weihnachten.

Schöne Mühle. Wertige Verarbeitung. Mahlt gut und fluffig und ist dabei angenehm im Betriebsgeräusch. Da stellt sich gleich die Frage, ob die alte Siebträgermaschine mithalten kann oder hier die Folgeinvestition kommt. Am Ende kommt der Heimbarista ja doch nicht in den Kaffeeolymp und freut sich auch über einen einfachen in der Rösterei nebenan gemahlenen Espresso aus der Carmencita oder Bialetti.

Die Mühle des Jahres

Ich hab mir die x54 im September und bin begeistert! - Super leise - Sehr schnell - stufenlose Mahlgradeinstellung - sehr homogenes mahlgut - ich mahle damit für meine bezzera und v60, beides super - einfach zu reinigen - sieht richtig schick aus
